Your child is putting in the time — practices, games, extra reps in the backyard. You're investing in equipment, travel, and club fees. That dedication deserves to pay off.
But here's what most coaches never tell parents: speed, agility, and first-step quickness are skills. They can be taught. They can be trained. They can be measured.
The athletes who look "naturally fast"? Most of them received specific coaching on movement mechanics that your child has never been shown. That gap is real — and it's closeable in four days.
That's exactly what this camp exists to do.
Four Pillars That Create
Faster, More Explosive Athletes
Sand Pit Power & Explosiveness
Training in the sandpit builds genuine first-step power at the muscle level. The resistance forces proper mechanics and drives the explosive acceleration that transfers directly to any hard playing surface. Most youth athletes have never experienced this type of training — and it shows in results.
Running Mechanics & Linear Speed
Most athletes have never been coached on how to run correctly. Arm drive, stride mechanics, body lean, and sprint posture are all trainable skills. Athletes who fix their mechanics see measurable drops in their 40 and 60-yard dash times — often within the same session.
Agility, Lateral Speed & 40/60 Prep
Change-of-direction, cutting, lateral quickness, and reaction training that translates to every sport. Plus specific preparation for 40 and 60-yard dash evaluations — critical for athletes heading into showcases, combines, or tryouts.
Athlete Mindset & Coordination
Physical speed without mental confidence leaves potential on the field. Athletes develop body awareness, competitive mindset, and the understanding of what they trained and why — so the improvements from camp carry into every practice and game that follows.
Trained by People
Who Earned It
Coach Von Thomas
Von Thomas didn't grow up in Nebraska. He came from Miami, Florida — where athletic competition runs at a different level. He arrived in Seward as a quarterback for Concordia University and left as a record-setter.
He knows what it takes to develop as an athlete because he lived that development right here — in this town, at a small university, competing against bigger programs and winning. He's not here to run your kid through generic drills. He's teaching the specific methods that gave him his edge.
Your athlete doesn't need to leave Nebraska to access elite coaching. It's right here in Seward.
Coach Ron Jones
Coach Ron Jones is making the trip from Colorado specifically for this camp — because what Von is building in Seward is worth showing up for.
With over 38 years of coaching experience, Coach Ron has worked with athletes at virtually every level. He's seen every kind of movement problem and knows exactly how to fix it. That's not an exaggeration — that's four decades of reps.
This camp puts two expert coaches on the field with your athlete. That ratio of attention to athlete is rare. Take advantage of it.
